Under Construction

            “Don’t sin by letting anger gain control over you.”  Ephesians 4:26

            “It just drives me nuts when people _____?”  You fill in the blank; it shouldn’t take you very long.   We all have pet peeves; those annoying little things that others do that cause us to be angry.  In a survey of our youth group, there was a great variety of pet peeves:  smacking gum, people who touch the bottom of their shoes, getting cut off in traffic, and many more.  It just goes to show that anger is a part of life, even the littlest things can get us fired up.  It is comforting to know that God understands that we get angry.  In the Bible, God tells us not to sin when we are angry.   So, when anger flares up, don’t let it control you and cause you to lash out at others.  Instead, pray that God will give you strength to calm down, forgive others, and get on with having a great day.
